The green stuff allows me to not be affected by the stuff which otherwise bothers me all day while at work and living life in general. At night I have a bit and exactly; relax and recharge. Games, music, learning etc etc. I have found that if done all day, it leads to a bad cycle. But in moderation it is a great tool even. Don't get me wrong, I love a good drink. Lately I have come to enjoy certain local craft beers and ciders (Tofino Brewing Blonde Ale http://tofinobrewingco.com/ourbeers#blonde-ale-2 and The BX Press The Bandit https://thebxpress.com/the-bandit/ my god I love that cider.). But, I tend to regret it. I might have more energy overall but seem to be more negative, or quicker to become negative.
I never thought you were an alcoholic. Never been myself. Although at times before I would start a bottle of whiskey in the afternoon and have just a little bit left in the morning. Straight. No mix, ice or water. Plus the weed. Of course I`d be sick for the next week, especially because I`d finish the bottle the next morning and regret it right away haha. Then there`s the hard drugs. Hope you haven`t been down those roads at all. Dark places. Anyway. Booze I feel is what it is, a poison for our body. It affects our brain negatively regardless of our enjoyment of it. Not saying green stuff isn`t bad for ya. Just less overall I believe and has much better benefits.
But of course, whatever floats your boat man! ;)
Diet of course is integral to feeling good. My wife is a good example. She used to have pop or soft drinks (nothing but chemically flavoured sugar water) every day as what you drink and I got her to stop. Pretty much right away she felt better and hasn`t gone back but a few times and regretted it each time hehe. It comes down to the science of it all. Sleep too, our bodies need it for healing, regenerating, processing etc etc. Limit that and you limit yourself overall. Not that I get as much as I should. I have a young family but I`m a gamer and dude who likes to get buzzed and rock out on loud guitar. It lets out all the bad shit from the day to day crap of work and interactions with people I have no interest in interacting with. But I don`t get my release. No wonder I had the panic attack eh? haha
You know, I don't expect a response when I post some thoughts on here. You don't have to say thanks. I'm not looking to brown nose a dev or anything like that. I'll be forty in less then a month sadly lol. I know this online thing can become a burden so don't feel obligated to reply. I certainly appreciate making a connection with a like minded person, even if initially I do this sort of thing just to try to help. People can take it or leave it. If anything sinks in and makes some positive change then hell yeah.
I hope I don't come across as criticising or anything like that. I'm told I can be blunt and dry. People are not sure how serious I am at times haha. Ah well... It's a rare thing to find people who can relate on a number of levels which most people don't have a clue about. A certain intelligence and depth of feeling. The ability to be alone too. I have that. Along with this kind of awakening about the world and our health and all this stuff that goes along with it... it's interesting.
Thing is, your isolated inner world is just that because well.. it's what's happening in your brain! ;) We are not in there, we're out here hehe Sorry... a bit of humour. I tend to joke around in social settings.
