This my first year so I had to buy the seeds. I'm really hoping for a good harvest so that I can become self-sufficient at least in this limited sense. :)

I struggled quite a bit on which variety to choose but ultimately settled on "Hangdown" which is supposed to be an old one (19th century Sweden). Would have preferred to start with a Finnish variety but I was in a bit of a hurry and had to settle for what was easily available.
