Another steam thawing experiment, this time at my own driveway. On the left side of the road we see water level already at the road surface, and there was some water flooding onto the road. The culvert is frozen solid, the other end is a bit upwards from the fire. I added a longer thin metal pipe to the end of the black plastic one. But I managed to get only 1/3 of the total length thawed, then I ran into trouble with the hoses not really being optimal for the job. So, to lower the water level I took an ordinary garden hose and used it to make a simple siphon to make the water go to the right side of the road.
