My son and his girlfriend came for a visit. My son has a rather detailed map app on his smartphone, and we decided to go wandering nearby forests trying to spot interesting terrain features marked on the map. First we located a spring with crystal clear water. The picture is us approaching a small brook which runs from a pond to another. We spent couple of hours strolling around, saw a couple of falcons, a lot of fresh elk tracks and bear feces. We walked six and half kilometres altogether, so all the time we were not so far from my home.
