About a year ago I got an email from an illustrator working on a book project. The illustrator had been browsing the net, hoping to find a reference photo of a man dragging a log. Found one at my blog, and kindly asking a permission to make a drawing based on my photo. Sure - of course! I always feel that pictures and texts I post of the blog site are pretty much free to use, made to be shared and enjoyed by other people. But of course it is nice when people are polite, reach out, send a message and ask for a permission. Yesterday I got my copy of the finished book - but yesterday I was too tired, so I just posted a picture of the snow slowly melting. Today I have time to sit back and to take a proper look at the book.

The book is The Lumberjack, written by Beau Gray, illustrated by Morgan Wagner.

Thank you Erkka! It was fun to find your picture for reference for this book, and MORE fun to get to connect with you and send you a copy. Enjoy!

Ah, and there is also a song to the book!

Thank you, Morgan!

This is really nice! It reminded me that long ago I wanted to do a little animation based on a picture of your house, Erkka. Maybe I should do it now that I feel a lot more competent with art than in 2015 =) Nice song, too, by the way!
