Last thing today :)

I want to thank you that you changed my life (in some ways)

I am following Picture of the Day since its start, asking you small or big and sometimes annoying questions + reading your blog.

I want to have children, I am not scared of people anymore, I am improving my english, I am more nice and friendly to people, I want to go out and learn new skills for surviving, I know that there are nice and friendly people and more things just because you.

Thank you so much Erkka, you've changed my look on life.

It would be longer but my english is not that advanced :/ I just want to thank you so much :)

When I was something like 17 or 18 (can't remember exactly) I got interested in Chinese art of painting. I was living in a small countryside village with no access to special boutiques, so I wrote my older cousin who lived in the capital city. I asked him if he could go take a look if it is possible to buy the basic tools for Chinese painting. Well, some time after that I received a postal package. It included just that basic set needed for Chinese painting. I contacted my cousin to ask how much money I owe him. And he replied "Nothing. Maybe you will yourself someday help someone else." - that got permanently stored in my mind. It is these little acts of kindness which matter so much.

So, thank you for the honest feedback. Yup, I'm not to deny that sometimes your behavior has been slightly "energy-consuming", but I understand that your intentions are good. And nobody is perfect, we are all learning better ways to get along with others and ourselves. So - yup - let's rock on !

Ps. One more thing =)

When I was a teenager, internet was not yet around. And there were no mobile phones. We used computers and land-line phones to dial up a forum-like softwares run by private persons. Sami was running one of those, and that was how we made friends. And I so do remember that when I started visiting Sami's virtual community, in the beginning I was using a different alias depending on what topic I was discussing. I thought that it is a nice idea - I have multiple roles, multiple alter egos, instead of trying to capture all of my personality under one single name and description. But then Sami and the others felt somewhat uneasy with that - saying that it would be more nice for them if they always knew with who they are talking with. I was thinking about it, and finally settled for using the same name constantly, just to make a better connection with the others.

But I'm not here to say you should do the same. I just wanted to share this personal story, thinking that maybe you find something to relate to. Or, in other words; inside each of us there is just a tiny little ordinary human being =)

I had many nicknames + fake nicknames, but I had to change them every month because I needed change(not sure why).

But I will stay with one as you advised :)
Very nice story! Those were the days :) It had to be cool.

Wow.. This song is so nostalgic for me :'( I remember it! I was 5 or 6 but I am not sure :) (I am 15)

I was 5 or 6(When I heard it for the first time)

That concert was held about the times I was talking about - Cold War was over, and there was a sense of new hope for the mankind...

Oh well, but here is another link to the same song, in pure Aki Kaurismäki style (Aki is a Finnish movie director. I guess that with a little of searching you can find his movies if you are interested)
